LADAKH Mystrey Land in A Cold Desert

Ladakh means the land of High Passes , a mystical destination with spectacular natural beauty in a cold desert. The other name for Ladakh is Khapa- Chan meaning Snow Land.
Tourist can reach ladakh by flight to leh or can also be reached by land following Srinagar- Kargil – Leh or Manali- Keylong – Dracha – Leh.
Best Time to Travel
Undoubtedly the summer months between April- June are the best months to travel to Ladakh. As the snow begins to melt ,a spectacular view awaits the visitors of this very scenic snow land. The best time to take a bike trip is between mid May to October . When roads are opened from Srinagar & the route from Manali often opens post mid June.
The most famous annual festival ,which attracts the maximum tourist is the Hemis Gompa. As per the Tibetan Calendar the festival is held on the tenth day of the Tse-Chu month which is the lunar month.
At least 11-12 days are required if planning a road trip to Leh Ladakh . You may pass through the highest motorable pass in the world Khardungla . Second highest motorable pass being Tanglang La if travelling from Manali.
