Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Guwahati Airport / Rly Station – Shillong (100 kms / 03 hrs.)

    On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station meet with SOS Travel house rep. who will assist in the transfer to Shillong also known as the 'Scotland of the East". Located amidst the sylvan hills is Umium Lake, a must-visit place on the bucket list of all tourists traveling to Shillong. En route visit Umiam Lake, surrounded by sylvan hills. Reach Shillong and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.

  • Day 2

    Excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 2 - 3 hrs one way.)

    After an early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. You will today witness the beautiful waterfall Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Evening return to Shillong, en route stop at Elephanta Falls. Overnight stay at a hotel in Shillong

  • Day 3

    Visit to Don Bosco Museum

    After an early breakfast and checkout leave for Kaziranga. Take a short halt to visit the Don Bosco Museum (Sunday Closed) & Ward’s Lake. Check-in at your hotel. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kaziranga.

  • Day 4

    Kaziranga National Park

    Early morning, on the back of an Elephant, explore any one of the 4 zones of Kaziranga National Park. Apart from the Rhino, other species to spot are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, wild Elephants, and maybe the tiger. For the bird watchers, this is home to many birds like the pelicans, storks, and darters inside the Park. Return to the resort for breakfast. A second safari In the afternoon by jeep traversing through the National Park, also visit Kaziranga Orchid Park. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at a resort in Kaziranga. Important note: Elephant rides are all regulated and controlled by the Forest Dept. Govt. of Assam. We do not have any control over the booking. From May onwards, Kaziranga National Park will be closed. So, Elephant rides & Jeep safaris are subject to availability only.

  • Day 5

    Visit Maha Mrityunjay Temple

    Take an early breakfast and drive to Guwahati, Visit the Maha Mrityunjay Temple in Nagaon. Arrive early afternoon and check-in at the hotel in Guwahati – Assam. A highly recommended optional tour is the Golden sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay at a hotel in Guwahati.

  • Day 6

    Guwahati Local Sightseeing

    After breakfast visit the Kamakhya Temple door open for devotees. 08:00 A.M till 01:00 P.M & 3:00 P.M till it gets dark, Tirupati Balaji Temple, Nabagraha Temple, Assam State Museum (Closed on Monday), State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Regional Science Centre and Sukreswar Temple (The 6th Jyotirlinga of Shiva).     Hotel – Guwahati Airport / Rly Station
